Flu and COVID-19 vaccinations are being offered to eligible people at a lifestyle event taking place at The Spire in Poole on Wednesday 18 December.

Free blood pressure checks and lifestyle advice will also be available from local partners including the NHS, council and voluntary organisations at the event which takes place from 10am – 4pm.

This is the last in a series of events at the Spire to encourage people to get vaccinated and take steps towards healthier living in the new year.

‘It was worth coming along because now I know I’ve got to keep an eye on my blood pressure!’ Jay Townsend from Poole who came to have her BP taken.

Suzanne Charles, matron of vaccinations services in Dorset said, “Come down to get ‘winter-proofed’ and have your flu or COVID-19 vaccinations, or both!

“No appointment is needed, we can check if you are eligible. COVID-19 and flu are doing the rounds now, and it’s a good time to protect yourself and vulnerable people around you too.”

Getting vaccinated is the best way of getting protected so find out where the local walk-ins are, or if you are eligible for your flu or COVID-19 jabs at staywelldorset.nhs.uk/vaccinations.
