As Carers Rights Day takes place on 23 November 2023 those who are eligible are being reminded to get their Flu and COVID vaccinations to protect themselves and those they care for.

Carers are eligible for a free flu vaccination through the NHS if they receive a carer’s allowance or are the main carer for an older or disabled person who may be at risk if you get sick.

If you’re eligible for an NHS flu vaccine, you can:

You may receive an invitation to get vaccinated, but you do not have to wait for this before booking an appointment.
