We are thrilled to have been rated as Outstanding. This assessment is confirmation of what we already knew; our amazing team deliver an outstanding service to our patients and the local community.

“To move from Requires Improvement to Outstanding is a difficult thing to do. Our team have all worked so hard over the past three years to build something that makes a real difference to our patients. This work has now been formally recognised, and we are very proud!”

Victoria Oecken, CQC’s deputy director for Dorset, said:

“Leaders at Blandford Group Practice have created a culture that supports improvement and encourages staff to explore new ways of delivering high-quality care. We saw a strong focus on understanding the needs of the local community and reducing barriers for people who may find it harder to access services. Staff worked with compassion, took time to listen, and supported patients as individuals.”

This Outstanding rating reflects how much the team care about their patients.  The team will build on this work by staying close to their community, learning from feedback, and making improvements that help people stay well.
