NHS Dorset is looking for volunteers to join its Digital Public Engagement Group (DPEG) to help develop future digital health and care services for people across the county.

The group will work with NHS Dorset along other health and care partners on a range of projects which aim to improve physical and mental health including maternity and women’s health, cancer, and long-term conditions like diabetes and asthma.

Stephen Slough is Chief Digital Information Officer with NHS Dorset. He said “There are many exciting developments in technology that have already become part of everyday life over the last few years and there is no doubt that using these effectively can help people with both their own health and that of their loved ones.

“Thousands of people in Dorset are already using things like home monitoring devices, health apps or online consultations enabling them to take control of their own health, at the same time helping to ease day-to-day pressures on services.

“DPEG members are made up of people from all ages and walks of life, so whether you are already tech-savvy or just have a passing interest please do get in touch.”
