During August, GP practices across the country will be taking part in a period of collective action.
It may mean that some local practices are offering fewer appointments.
As a result, it is also expected that other local services may see an increase in demand.
If you need urgent care and are unable to get an appointment at your GP practice, use 111 online or call 111.
For minor ailments use your local pharmacy.
You can find your nearest pharmacy via the national NHS website.
In an emergency don’t hesitate – call 999 and ask for an ambulance.
If you need to contact your practice, make use of online tools such as eConsult or Klinik.
Patients can also use the NHS app to book GP appointments, order repeat prescriptions and access a range of other healthcare services.
Please refer to your individual practice website for more details.
